Responsibilities

• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers
• Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
• Design and implementation of data storage solutions
• Integration of data storage solutions such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch and others
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use
• Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
• Integration of the front-end and back-end aspects of the web application

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks such as CodeIgniter and Laravel
• Good understanding of AngularJS, ReactJS, and BackboneJS
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
• Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP
• Understanding of MVC design patterns
• Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming
• Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, ability to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT and familiarity with GITLAB
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
